Have you ever wondered what it takes to win a special award at school? Well, I've got a great story to share with you about two amazing 6th graders, Jordan and Maya, who recently received the Wrangler Award from Ms Hartzell. Jordan and Maya have been in Choir since elementary school. They are very passionate about singing. Jordan is in the Encore Choir, and Maya is in Honor Choir. Neither expected the Wrangler Award but are very proud of it. Jordan won the 6th Grade Boys Choir Award and Maya got the 6th Grade Girls Choir Award, both from Mrs. Hartzell. To Jordan, this Wrangler award means he can prove to people who didn’t understand him that he is the best version he can be. For Maya, winning this award meant that she felt like she had more of a place here at West. Both of these students find inspiration from their parents. Awards are all about putting in effort and striving to be the best version of yourself. Jordan and Maya have shown exceptional dedication to Choir. These two Wrangler Award winners exemplify the spirit of dedication and excellence that makes West the great school that it is.
